As discussed, find attached a Powerpoint file outlining Libraries NI’s Summer Reading Challenge.
You may wish to use it as a handout for parents or simply to relay the information to parents to highlight to parents that the reading challenge begins in Newry this Saturday (19th June) and will run throughout the summer until the end of August.
With continuing COVID constraints there is no events/activities program for this summer as in previous years, but there are stickers and activity sheets for the children and certificates will be awarded to those who take part.
I have also attached a template application form which you may wish to copy and circulate, but children can simply fill one out a form on the day (but do note that parents will need to bring proof identity and address – a driving licence is best – for a child to join up).
Hopefully we can get children reading as much as possible over the summer.
Many thanks for your interest.
Kind regards
