Action Cancer Healthy Eating Success

The whole school recently took part in an initative to raise awareness about Healthy Eating.  Throughout the week there were members of the Action Cancer Team in school to speak to the children about the importance of healthy eating and making them aware about the amount of sugar included in processed food that they eat they spoke to the children about how important it is to eat natural sugar rather than foods with artificial sugar added.  The children were asked to donate £1.00 for the workshops they took part in and the school raised a substantial amount of £300.00.  A huge thanks to all the children involved.  Today Madeline McCrink from the SHSCT was in school along with the Action Cancer Team to be presented with this amount of money.
